10 July Meeting

  • This week we had our first experience of the hospitality at the Kaikohe Bowling Club. It was also a big occasion for President Isaac Vujcich as it was his first meeting in charge.

  • Kaikohe-Hokianga Community Board member and longtime local resident Sean Reilly came as a guest and asked for Rotary's help in putting together a concert in Kaikohe for opera singer and former Northland College student Kauwiti Selwyn. Kauwiti has sung for Rotary in the past. Members responded sympathetically and we will consider the matter further at our board meeting next week.

  • Members also congratulated President Issac for a successful meeting and wished him and his team mates the best when Kaikohe plays Moerewa and United Kawakawa  in the Northland RFU North Zone final on Saturday (13 July).
