  • Many thanks to the members who assisted with Meals on Wheels last week. Colin was inducted into the Meals on Wheels team on Friday.

  • Liz, Colin, Don, Glenis and Cam attended the District Changeover in Whangarei on Sunday to witness Glenis accepting the role of Assistant Governor. Well done Glenis.

22 June Club Meeting - Kaikohe Primary Schools’ Speech Contest

  • Kaikohe Rotary's Annual Primary Schools' Speech Contest 2016 attracted a huge audience to the RSA on Wednesday night, as parents and family members came along to enjoy the presentations from nine talented youngsters from local schools.

  • Our speakers spoke with passion and enthusiasm and received prolonged applause from a supportive audience.

  • Our hardworking judges had a hard job deciding the winners. They decided that the in the year 5/6 category Indica Wharerau from Kaikohe East School was the winner, with Jessica Jack from Ohaeawai School and Robert Schick from Kaikohe Christian School second and third respectively.

  • In the Year 7 & 8 section Hope Korewha from Kaikohe Intermediate was a worthy winner, ahead of Aroha Bradley (Kaikohe Intermediate) and Otiria Harrington (Kaikohe Christian School).

  • Congratulations to all the youngsters who took part. We hope you enjoyed the experience and we look forward to seeing you next year.
