28 October Meeting

  • Last Wednesday Kaikohe Rotarians travelled to Ohaeawai School where we were guests of staff, students and board of trustees. Ohaeawai School is a member of the Kaikohekohe Education Trust which is providing Chromebooks for their students. These devices allow students to do all their learning on line. The Chromebooks allow the students to share their work and learn from each other. Learning can take place anywhere and is not restricted to the classroom.

  • It was a fascinating experience to see what the children have achieved through their Chromebooks. Teaching and learning have changed a great deal since most of us were last in the classroom. Kaikohe Rotary is delighted to be a supporter of this initiative.

  • Thank you to Ohaeawai School for being such a gracious host and providing such a fantastic dinner.
