24 June Meeting report - Reporter - Don

  • Primary Schools’ Speech Contest

    • Students presented their speeches to a very large crowd of parents and supporters.

    • Placegetters in the Year 5-6 section were Kasey Stewart (Ohaeawai) 1st, Zaedyn Te Haara (Ohaeawai) 2nd, Simone Mulder (Kaikohe Christian) 3rd.

    • Otiria Harrington was the sole contestant in the Y7-8 section.

    • Following the presentations the Kaikohe Christian School Principal David Rogers thanked Rotary for organising the event.

    • Many thanks to the judges Paulene Malpas, Glenis Sutherland and Colin Patterson land timekeeper Jim Shaw and to Bruce Gillies for his fine work printing the certificates.
