9 April Meeting Notes Reporter - Stan

  • Dictionary update: Bruce has designed and printed presentation labels to include in the dictionaries. Valerie has volunteered to inscribe the recipient details. Dictionaries will then be ready for delivery to the schools.

  • Email from Sue confirming her intention to keep up to date with events at the club.

  • Delegates to conference this year will be Valerie, Elizabeth, and Liz a possible attendee. Delegates to attend AGM.

  • 17th May: Puff n Pull day at Kawakawa

  • District 9910 Conference is scheduled for 10 – 12 April 2016 at Vanuatu.

  • Mangawhai Museum invitation extended to club members.

  • Donations to Vanuatu Relief fund can be made on the web.

  • Jim provided a 5 minute address as a member of the Waimate Nth Landscape Trust on the subject of native tree characteristics.

  • Lyn Foster, Community Health Services Manager, Hokianga Health Enterprise Trust, provided an enlightening talk about the services provided at no charge to the recipient. The Trust is managed by 30 elected members, 2 staff members, and 2 runanga members. The CEO manages 6 management staff who oversee the daily operations. The Trust operates over a wide area of Northland from 10 satellite clinics.
