  • President Liz thanked everybody who worked so hard at the Waimate Show

  • Letters of thanks to Cam, Vivienne & Megan for all their help

  • Jim Shaw announced that we made $2,444.00 at the Show, slightly down on last year but a good result.

  • Noel asked for for feedback on the operation

    • Need some new ideas

    • Hardly any wastage, but ran out of meat early

    • Look at BBQ arrangements

    • Require a fan. Nancy Shuker has donated one. Thanks Nancy.

  • Raffle...The tickets sold well at the Show

    • Reminder that all tickets must be sold in the next 10 days

    • Area 1 Dinner at Paihia next Thursday, $30pp. Carpooling at RSA at 5.30pm

    • No Wednesday meeting in Kaikohe

    • Kaikohe Xmas Parade Friday 28t Nov . Helpers required for Traffic wardens duties. Please see Noel or Ngaire

    • Waipapa Rotary 20th celebrations Sat.6th Dec. Theme is Black & White

    • Five Nations Mounted Games.

      • Organisers have ask if we could man the gates. At least 6-8 people required on 5th, 6th & 7th Dec.

    • Last meeting of Rotary will be celebrated with a Christmas Party at Wildspur on 17th Dec

    • First meeting for 2015 will be 14th Jan.2015

    • Reminder, that Kaikohe Show is on Sat 10th Jan,.2015

  • President Liz presented Nigel Ross with a cheque for $750 form PDG Merv Huxford for a hockey training & coaching day he held at Lindvart Park at the beginning of the Hockey season.

    • Nigel expressed his thanks to the Club & noted that there were a few ex-hockey players here in the club tonight

  • Bruce G. introduced David Laurenson, who is from St Helens, UK, here for 4 months on a House Exchange Scheme,where people swap houses & cars for an agreed period.

    • David is really enjoying his stay in the Bay of Islands joining in on most of the activities in the district. We then discovered he is a raconteur of some note and he entertained us mightily for the next 20 minutes with some somewhat risque and highly improbable stories. Thank you David.
