    • The principal of Northland College has confirmed that the club can host exchange students for the college with no additional approvals required.

    • Noel and Ngaire attended the Kaikohe heart meeting. The turnout was disappointing, with only 10 people attending other than St Johns and other staff members. Donna is involved in the project, arranging for a monitor held at the RSA clubrooms. Donna is trained in the monitor use. There are 7 units available in Kaikohe. The monitors need ongoing maintenance and replacement batteries. This is a worthwhile project the club can look at.

    • Keith presented an interesting 5 min talk about sesquipedalia and a little history of English Kingdoms

    • Monita has received a brief email outlining her exchange trip to France. Monita is going to 1510 Rotary District in West France, in La Region Des Pays De La Loire. The Rotary Club at Nantes is the host club, and will be hosted by Serge Le Melle. Lycee Guist’hau will be the high school attended.

    • The Philippines cyclone disaster was discussed. The meeting decided to increase the ShelterBox contribution for assistance to this area. The directors to decide the amount of increase.

  • Noel gave the meeting closure, citing the Black Caps who required 20 runs off the last over to win, which they achieved. Noel reminded us that “It is not over, until it is over”.
