Makeups - Traverse Meeting: Don, Jim, Noel, Glenis President Noel welcomed Ray back into the cub. Ray has been away for several weeks, and has had a major heart operation. Notices A letter of thanks has been received from the Rotary Youth Driver Awareness programme. Arrangements are in hand for the donation to the Sousa family. Thanks has been received for our support of the Northtec Science and Technology Extravaganza. Glenis and Don will assist. Primary Schools Speech Contest next week 19 June. Meal time 5:45pm. Frank will be one of the judges. Club Changeover at Wildspur 6:00pm - 26 June - $25 each. Information about the three month matched twin exchange to Australia has been sent to schools. District Changeover is at Westlake Girls High - 7 July. The Rotary Park project has been shelved. It may happen at the old log cabin site.
Five Minute Speaker Glenis told of her interest in historical places, engendered during her visit to the United Kingdom and continued on her return. On a recent visit to Dunedin she found Olveston particularly interesting. Guest Speaker - Jim Luders. Jim has been principal at Northland College for 20 days. He has a vision for Northland College to be the top school in Northland. Emphasis on high standards, quality teaching and student outcomes. Looking forward to a $5m classroom replacement programme. Involving Lincoln College with the farm
