Meeting Report - 13 February 2013
- President Noel welcomed Liz, who has been unable to attend meetings for some time, and Ray, who has been in the Rawene Hospital.
- Make Ups
- Glenis reported on the Bay of Islands Club’s Jubilee Dinner.
- Don attended the Wanganui Club meeting on 28 January.
- The combined clubs’ Car Rally starts at the Kerikeri RSA at 2:45pm on Sunday 24 February and finishes with dinner at the Ohaeawai Hotel at 6:00pm.
- Volunteers will be needed for the Northern Crossing on 18 May 2013.
- Funds are available for an International Youth Exchange.
- Five Minute Speaker Valerie entertained with some quotes that she came across when having a clean out.
- Guest Speakers were Natasha Cook and Malina Ayton from Cre8ive Glass.
- Natasha and Malina are both from Kaikohe and both have four children.
- They started the family company in June 2010 and have a workshop in Station Road and retail shops in Kaikohe and Paihia.
- Both extended families are involved with the business.
- Great to see such a wonderful initiative in our town. Check out their website.
