23 January Meeting Report
  • Present - Bruce, Bruce, Glenis, Valerie, Alan, Elizabeth, Jim, Don, Bill, Ray, Noel.
  • Special Guest - George Palmer.
  • Makeups - Glenis and Noel attended the area presidents’ meeting last weekend .
  • Bay of Islands Rotary Club Golden Jubilee Celebration  - 9 February 2013 - tickets still available. See notice.
  • Kaikohe members will join with Kerikeri for the Area One Car Rally.
  • The Northern Crossing is 18 May 2013 (or is it? See Northern Crossing website).
  • In our discussion about an email from Kaikohe Promotions about the Okaihau Kaikohe Traverse there was general agreement with the viewpoint expressed so well in an email from Frank.
  • Glenis agreed to pick up the Dictionaries. We hope to distribute them to the schools in February.
  • No meeting on Waitangi Day.
  • Half yearly Subscriptions are due - see link.
  • Glenis is coordinating possible collectors for the Heart Foundation Appeal - 15 February.
  • John and Elodie Vujcich’s daughter Lydia has been involved with the Viseisei Health Centre in Fiji - possible future guest speaker.
  • Club members agreed to support the Dictionaries for the Prison project.
  • Five Minute Speaker Ray spoke of his experiences, memories and history of bushfires in Australia.
  • Committee Meetings followed.
