- Frank, Adrienne, Bill and Jim met at Adrienne’s office last Friday to start planning for the Okaihau Kaikohe Traverse 30 September 2012. The group will meet each Friday to continue with the planning.

- Last of that type of Rotary Calendar – NZFP – 2013 will be an 18 month long calendar – calling for orders – cost if $7.50 recommended retail price $15.00.

- Keith and Moe interviewed Benji Powick for the National science and technology forum.

- Cake stall Wednesday 5th September – need scones, pikelets, cakes, biscuits, and slices.

- Working bee to be organised for Hone Heke Monument Hill – we need four people with knapsack sprayers. Heather maintains that there is no support from the FNDC.

- Hoani Hippolite requesting funds from the DARE account to take some children to Rainbows End.

- 5 minute speaker Glenis – spoke of her trip to Canada. Very interesting, expecially about the cats and the porcupines and others.
- Our guest speaker was Peggy Veens, who has been asked by the Kaikohe Business Association to help put Kaikohe back on track. She was very informative and of the impression that Kaikohe is a very good town, and not as bad as some people think. She does have some very good ideas.
