- Make-Ups - Mayoral Cycle Challenge volunteers - Adrienne, Don, Moengaroa, Roger, Frank, Noel, Ray
- Anzac Day - Agreed that the club will not meet next Wednesday 25 April.
- Jim finalised arrangements for the Northern Crossing on Saturday 21 April.
- President Frank completed a survey from Rotary International.
- Matakana Quiz Night is Saturday 12 May - See News and Notices above.
- President Frank was elected as our “Elector” at the District 9910 Annual General Meeting.
- The Blood Collection is in Kaikohe on Friday 20 April. Glenis and Liz available to assist.
- Ther application to the Mazda Foundation for funds for the dictionaries was unsuccessful.
- $150 received from the District Literacy Committee. $500 received from the Auckland Private Education Charitable Trust.
- Elizabeth Saroja and Don available for the Blood Pressure Campaign. See News and Notices above.
- Five Minute Speaker Keith rescheduled to 9 May.
- Guest Speaker Eric Alexander was born and educated in Kaikohe.
- He was a foundation pupil at Kaikohe Intermediate School, and Head Boy at Northland College.
- Eric went to University in Auckland where he tried several disciplines and settled on teaching after returning from overseas.
- He returned to Kaikohe to teach at Kaikohe Intermediate in 1990 and moved to Northland College in 1995.
- Over the last five years he has been running a special programme for Year 10 students.
- All Year 10 Students must participate.
- Each class has two weeks full time on the farm with Eric.
- The programme includes a range of activities designed to teach self respect and respect for for the land, for plants, for animals, and for the wider environment.
